KAKADU NATIONAL PARK.

PINE CREEK to JABIRU. KAKADU HIGHWAY.

JABIRU to STUART HIGHWAY (near Noonamah). ARNHEM HIGHWAY.

This is the main route through Kakadu National Park. It is dual lane and sealed.
There appears to be no time limit set on camping spots covered in this section.
The National Park fee to visit Kakadu has been (wisely, in our opinion) discontinued!

The Kadadu Highway starts near Pine Creek, it travels in a north east direction to near Jabiru.

The Arnhem Highway starts near Jabiru and travels in a westerly direction to the Stuart Highway.

KAKADU HIGHWAY SECTION.
0 km (211.3 km) Kakadu Highway .. south west end. Junction with Stuart Highway near Pine Creek.
Travel 2.2 km into Pine Creek (Post Office) via its northern entrance. See Stuart Highway (northern
section) for facilities available (DUMP POINT, water) in Pine Creek.

2.9 km (208.4 km) Junction .. north side .. Grove Hill/Mt Wells .. also known as Northern Goldfields Loop Road
as it passes through long abondoned and modern open cut mines. It loops back onto the Stuart Highway
north of Hayes Creek.

24.9 km (186.4 km) Junction .. south side .. signed southern entrance to Harriet Creek camping area. There is an old
road section between the 2 entrance points with the camping area off about half way between them .. on a
level gravel/dirt turning/parking loop. Causeway across creek on southern entrance.
