This is an east west route from Grafton to Walgett. We travelled the Grafton to Moree section.
It is dual lane sealed. Part of the Grafton to Glen Innes section is quite mountainous .. steep slopes,
no overtaking lanes, sharp bends.
Note. In general, roadside parking is only signed when it's on your left side. Not sure why, but guess to stop
one crossing to the other side of the road against oncoming traffic. This means, however, that parking spots on
the opposite side of the highway, to which we travelled, may be missed in these notes.
0 km (356.3 km) Roundabout .. Gwydir Highway commences to the west. This roundabout is also the southern end of the Summerland
Way .. via a bridge that has bends in it (somewhat difficult for large/long vehicles via which, I prefer not to travel),
to Grafton town centre and points north.
I am not certain, but it appears the roundabout also forms the junction with the Pacific Highway.

9.4 km to a popular signed rest area .. west side .. Heritage Park. Sealed road to Park, then pot holed large level
