Near SINGLETON TO DUBBO. GOLDEN HIGHWAY (HWY. 84).


The Golden Highway follows an essentially east west route from the hilly coalfields region around Singleton to the
more undulating country around Dunedoo/Dubbo. It is dual lane and sealed with some overtaking lanes .. more so in the
eastern end.

  Limited parking makes area not suitable overnight, though small rigs could park on grass area to the south.

229.6 km (92.0 km) Dunedoo Post Office .. south side. There is a long truck parking bay with the western entrance opposite
  the Post Office and continuing about 300 metres east between the main street and railway line, with facilities in
  park area between it and the main road.

  Toilets, covered tables, limited shade, WATER tap western end of toilet block, Free BBQ's, rubbish bins, 30m from
  highway (EXTREMELY noisy with truck taffic ALL night), OK big rigs, good TV, good CDMA, playground, public phone,
  shops and pubs opposite.

230.3 km (91.3 km) Junction .. Golden Highway continues ahead to Dubbo. Castlereagh Highway turns north across railway line
  for Gilgandra.
