This sealed and dual lane
route links up a series of coal mines and mining
towns .. Tieri, Oakey
Creek, German Creek, Norwich Park, Dysart, Saraji,
Peak Downs and thence the
Peak Downs Hwy. near Moranbah. From near German
Creek there is access to
Middlemount thence the Dingo to Mt. Flora (Fitzroy
Development) Road.
The actual towns are all a short distance off the main road and all offer
normal or better facilities than a lot of similar size towns. Particularly so
in the way of leisure type activities, sports facilities, parks etc.
