BARRIER HIGHWAY.
This route gives the shortest distance between Adelaide, Port Augusta (and points west) and areas in the eastern
states north of a line drawn approximately between Broken Hill and Sydney.
It is dual lane sealed.
Note. In general, roadside parking is only signed when it's on your left side. Not sure why, but guess to stop
one crossing to the other side of the road against oncoming traffic. This means, however, that parking spots on
the opposite side of the highway, to which we travelled, may be missed in these notes.

not certain, but assume this junction with the A20 is the beginning of the Barrier Highway.
From that junction, it is signed Adelaide 48 km.

possible for a self contained vehicle to stay overnight. Largish level grass/gravel area. Terowies claims to fame
