RIVERINA HIGHWAY. (Highway 58) to near COROWA then COROWA TOCUMWAL ROAD.
This east west route travells from Albury to near Corowa via the Riverina Highway .. then via the Corowa Tucumwal
Road, which tends to follow the northern side of the Murray River, to Tocumwal.
It is dual lane and sealed, but has some narrow sections.
0 km (162.8 km) Riverina Highway commences at its junction with the Hume Highway in Albury.

Park is ahead. Signed "no camping". Travel down into fairly extensive park area where there is ample parking and

Follow park area downstream and there is a signed "town common" in which we noted a caravan was parked.

WE WERE DISAPOINTED WITH THE HOWLONG COUNCIL AND ITS "NO CAMPING" IN THE ABOVE TWO NICE SPOTS ALONG THE RIVER.
We continued south to along the Murray Valley Highway to find a legal camp spot.

there is a park area/boat ramp on the left side. "No camping" signs!

113.0 km (49.8 km) Signed Sandy Bend .. across grid or via gate .. south side. Signed Sandy Bend 4.5 km, Pebble Beach 4.0 km.
Rubbish skip inside gate. We travelled 3.7 km to ? Sandy Bend .. had to remove some fallen branches and cut some
saplings .. also a couple of boggy (after rain) sections. Nice spot on river, but sandy close to bank or under
overhanging dead branches .. so we disn't stay overnight.

 : through open boom gates, across narrow gully to large level open area on river bank .. total 2.5 km from main road.
