This is the principal north south route from Adelaide to Pt. Augusta forming part of the main National Highway system.
It is dual lane each way (with a wide seperation strip) and sealed as far north as just south of Port Wakefield
then dual lane sealed with some overtaking lanes to Pt. Augusta.
Note. In general, roadside parking is only signed when it's on your left side. Not sure why, but guess to stop
one crossing to the other side of the road against oncoming traffic. This means, however, that parking spots on
the opposite side of the highway, to which we travelled, may be missed in these notes.
We travelled from north to south, thus possible parking spots on the western side (north bound) may have been missed.

6.0 km (305.4 km) Cross Roads .. Regency Road. We turned east here, after 1.6 km, there is a "T" junction with the A17
which we followed to The South Eastern Freeway.

off rest area. There are "no camping" signs within the fence .. people park on the edge of the road to overnight.

We stayed overnight just through the entrance, on the left near the Lions Club covered area.
